Why did you choose Dalton State? I chose Dalton State because I was supporting myself. I wanted a college that was flexible and affordable to attend. I wanted smaller class sizes and establish relationships with my professors.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? To be a part of Roadrunner Nation means being a part of a diverse community of young people striving for a common goal in life!

What do you plan to do after graduation? After college, I plan to move closer to Atlanta or Boston. I will work in PR and travel the world!

Who is/was your favorite professor and why? I do not have a favorite professor but I really have enjoyed a lot of my professors so far! (Ms. Barton, Dr. Harrelson, Ms. Ayars, and Mr. Drye)

What activities are you involved in on campus? I work on the intramurals staff. I keep score for basketball, and I also referee flag football. Who says a girl can’t throw a flag?

Where is your favorite study spot? My favorite study spot would have to be at the top of Pope under the sun roof.

What is your best memory so far as part of the Roadrunner Nation? Best memory so far would have to be being a part of the 50th anniversary photo shoot and the firework show!

What is the last book you read? “Pink Elephant in the Middle of the Getto” by TiTi Ladette

Favorite comfort food? Chocolate! Chocolate warms my heart.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Beyoncé “Schooling Life”

What do you feel most proud of? Coming to Dalton State on faith

What cheers you up? My playlist full of Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Chris Brown hits

Who is your hero? My stepdad. Words cannot express my boundless gratitude for him! I have a man in my life that cannot be replaced. I get so emotional just thinking about him.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Rosa Parks. I want to know her story on how her life took a turn when she didn’t move from her seat on the bus.

Where is your favorite place to eat? My grandma’s kitchen

What do you feel most proud of? I am most proud of my brother Vincent Valentine, #99, for making it to the NFL getting drafted to the New England Patriots and becoming a Super Bowl champ his first year in the NFL. I really enjoyed going to the Super Bowl and cheering the Patriots on as they defeated the – well you know – in overtime. They came out on top with the win!!

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to “Run Boldly?” To me, running boldly means doing everything you do in a fearless and daring way!
